The ICC has recently published a Manifesto on the ecological crisis, responding to the question “Is it possible to stop the destruction of the planet” from the point of view of the working class and the future of humanity.
All the ‘solutions’ to the ecological crisis proposed by the ruling class are futile...
Capitalism is a system based on the exploitation of both the working class and of nature. From its beginning it has based itself on ravaging and destroying the natural environment, but today it is showing that its very survival is incompatible with the survival of humanity and of nature. Capitalism has been an obsolete, decadent form of society for over a hundred years. This long decline has now reached a terminal phase, a dead-end in which war, crises of overproduction and ecological destruction are acting on each other to produce a terrible whirlwind of destruction. But there is an alternative to the nightmare being realised by capitalism : the international struggle of the exploited class for the overthrow of capitalism and the construction of a communist society.
To discuss these important issues we are holding an international online public meeting on Saturday 21 June at 14:00-17:00 (BST)- (15:00-18:00 (continental times). To participate in this meeting contact international@internationalism.org

Le CCI a récemment publié un Manifeste sur la crise écologique, répondant à la question « Est-il possible d’arrêter la destruction de la planète ? » du point de vue de la classe ouvrière et de l’avenir de l’humanité.
Toutes les « solutions » à la crise écologique proposées par la classe dirigeante sont vaines. Le capitalisme est un système fondé sur l’exploitation de la classe ouvrière et de la nature. Dès le début, il s’est fondé sur le saccage et la destruction de l’environnement naturel, mais aujourd’hui, il montre que sa survie est incompatible avec la survie de l’humanité. Le capitalisme est une forme de société obsolète et décadente depuis plus de cent ans. Ce long déclin a atteint une phase terminale, une impasse où la guerre, les crises de surproduction et les destructions écologiques agissent les unes sur les autres pour produire un terrible tourbillon de destruction.
Mais il existe une alternative au cauchemar que réalise le capitalisme : la lutte internationale de la classe exploitée pour le renversement du capitalisme et la construction d’une société communiste.
